Speichersysteme.

FAQs

1.Does the balcony power plant also generate electricity in winter?

Yes, your system also generates electricity in winter. Of course, the yield in this season is lower than in the sunnier months of the year.

2. What are the requirements for my balcony to be able to use the balcony power plant?

For the use of our solar modules, your balcony only needs to meet two requirements: a suitable balcony railing and an electrical outlet - that's all you need.

3.How much of my electricity needs can the balcony power plant cover?

Unfortunately, there is no blanket answer to this, as every household has different electricity consumption. Nevertheless, coverage of up to 40% of electricity demand can be achieved. Example: A balcony power plant with 760+ watt-peak can generate up to 700 kWh (kilowatt-hours) of green electricity per year when facing south. This corresponds to the annual consumption of a refrigerator, dishwasher, washing machine, and television.

4. How much can I save on electricity bills with a SUNSHARE solar power system?

The higher the output of the originally installed PV module, the higher the electricity generation. With a tilted installation, electricity generation is about 30% higher than without. In a home office, the family can use more than 70% of the electricity generated; when away, this share is usually below 50%. An 850 Wp system with tilted mounting generates about 800 kWh per year in Berlin, without shading, thus saving about 560 kWh per year in a home setting, which corresponds to about 230 euros. In a non-home setting, savings are less than 400 kWh, totaling less than 150 euros.

5. What kind of support do I receive from SUNSHARE during installation?

Sunshare products are largely pre-assembled and therefore easy to install. If customers encounter problems during installation, they can use the enclosed installation and operating instructions. In addition, online installation videos are available to help with the installation. If you still have difficulties, our support team is always available to help - please contact us by phone or send us a short message. Our team will help you immediately and, if necessary, arrange a replacement.

6. How do I make a warranty claim?

Should a defect occur in your balcony power plant, either within or outside the warranty period, please send us a message or report the warranty claim via our website. Our team will assist you promptly and arrange for a replacement if necessary.

7. What impact does adjusting the tilt angle of the system have on energy generation?

In midsummer, the sun is very high in the sky, creating an acute angle of incidence that leads to power losses. Depending on the situation, these can reduce power by 30-40%. At the same time, spring and autumn are more productive seasons due to the lower sun angle. Since the angle of solar radiation in summer is essentially perpendicular to the ground, an installation without a tilt angle leads to significant power losses (30-40%). This loss decreases in winter, early spring, and late autumn when the angle of solar radiation changes. However, since the main power generation period is concentrated in summer, it is recommended to install the modules with a tilt angle whenever possible.

8.Can I also use the modules on a smaller balcony?

The Sunshare modules are custom-made and have a single module size of only 766 mm, allowing them to be adapted to the requirements of balconies of different sizes for solar power systems. On smaller balconies, four 200W modules can be installed over a balcony length of 3.2 m to achieve 800W of power generation. In addition, the optimized design of the system connection enables individual wiring, so users can freely combine 1-6 modules as needed to optimally cover their power consumption.

9. Can I install SUNSHARE solar panels myself?

Sunshare modules are made of environmentally friendly, lightweight materials, which ensures controlled quality of the individual modules. Mounted with brackets, they can be installed independently by an adult. However, we recommend that users of all ages, depending on their physical condition, ask a family member or friend for help with the installation.

10. Does the system need to be connected by a tradesperson/electrician?

The SUNSHARE balcony power plant is completely drill-free, and the bracket is pre-assembled, allowing for installation by the average user without specialist personnel. DIN VDE 0100-551-1:2016-09 also stipulates that uncertified end-users are permitted to connect the system to the power grid. However, if a Wieland plug is required, installation must be carried out by a qualified electrician.
