Let us Help You

Does the balcony power plant also produce electricity in winter?

Yes, your system also generates electricity in winter. The yield at this time of year is of course lower than in the sunnier months of the year.

What requirements does my balcony have to fulfil to be able to use the balcony power plant?

Your balcony only needs to fulfil two requirements to use our solar modules. A suitable balcony railing and a socket, that's all you need.

How much of my electricity needs can I cover with a balcony power plant?

For long-term home-office or home-continuous personnel activities, the energy output by the balcony photovoltaic can be used more than 70%, maximising the product benefit. If it is a normal office worker, only refrigerators are available during the day and other fixed loads continue to consume energy, and PV modules are mostly de-energised between 10:00 and 14:00, so the total energy saving effect can be in the range of about 30% to 50%.

How much can I save on electricity costs with a SUNSHARE solar system?

From the perspective of power generation, the greater the power of the photovoltaic modules initially installed, the higher the power generation from the perspective of installation, the power generation with the installation angle is about 30% higher than that without the installation angle; in the case of home offices, the family can use 70% of the system's power generation. In addition, in non-home situations, it is usually less than 50%; The 850 Wp system is freely installed in Berlin and has an annual power generation of about 800 kWh/year, which is equivalent to a total saving of about 230 euros, less than 400 kWh and the total cost is less than 150 euros.

What kind of support will I receive from SUNSHARE during installation?

Sunshare products themselves are largely pre-assembled and less difficult to install. If customers have problems with installation, they can refer to the enclosed installation and usage instructions, and online installation videos can also help users to complete the installation. If you still encounter difficulties, our support team will help you immediately - please contact us by phone or send us a short message.

How high are the losses with a 0° (or 90°) angle directly on the balcony?

At the height of summer in particular, the sun is very high, resulting in an acute angle of incidence which leads to power losses. Depending on the situation, this can result in a 30-40% loss of output. At the same time, spring and autumn are better performing seasons due to the lower position of the sun.

Can I also use the modules on a smaller balcony?

Sunshare's modules are customised with a single module size of only 766 mm and can therefore be adapted to the needs of balconies of different sizes for solar power systems. For small balconies, four 200 W modules can be installed on a balcony length of 3.2 metres to achieve 800 W of power generation. In addition, the optimised design of the system connection allows individual connection so that users can freely combine 1-6 modules according to their needs to maximise their power consumption.

Can I install SUNSHAE solar modules alone?

Sunshare's panels are made of environmentally friendly, lightweight materials that allow for controlled quality of each panel, and when mounted with brackets, can be installed by an adult on their own. We recommend that users of all ages, depending on their strength, invite a family member or friend to help with the installation.

Does the system have to be connected by a tradesman/electrician?

No. The SUNSHARE balcony power station is designed to be completely drill-free and the bracket is pre-assembled so that installation by the average user without specialised personnel is guaranteed. The DIN VDE 0100-551-1:2016-09 standard also stipulates that non-certified end users can also connect the system to a professional socket. The situation is different if a Wieland plug is required, which can only be installed by a qualified electrician.
